On a picturesque morning, you wake up naturally (maybe to the sounds of birds chirping), make hot lemon water, get ready, and stop by Starbucks on your way to your Pilates session. (Ahhh what a romantic morning routine and the perfect aesthetic).
*Cut to reality*
After a long night of work or taking care of kids, you finally wake up the next morning (maybe after snoozing your alarm 10 times), scroll on Instagram because the bright cellphone light wakes you up, rush around to get yourself ready, settle with a homemade coffee, and arrive late to your Pilates session.
My point to this story is that although you felt like cr*p coming to the studio, you still came. You showed up for yourself and made your health a priority. Not every morning is Pinterest perfect. Life is not the perfect aesthetic. However, you continue to become the best version of yourself by creating a consistent routine. Maybe you didn’t come to the studio feeling like a rockstar, but you’ll leave as one.
Remember that Joseph Pilates said, “In ten sessions you’ll feel the difference, in twenty sessions you’ll see the difference, and in thirty sessions you’ll have a whole new body.” Just as Joseph Pilates promised, so will I – Continue showing up for yourself, even if you’re not living your most desired aesthetic, and I promise you’ll completely change your body and life.
