I thought I was struggling with chronic fatigue when my 3 o’clock slump turned into an all-day thing. In the last two weeks, I’ve started implementing practices that have helped my energy, mood, and motivation!
The Most Important Meal of the Day
Start eating breakfast!! There’s a reason they call it the most important meal of the day. Intermittent fasting is a good idea, but if you start missing meals because you forget and life gets busy, it’s helpful to start your day with some protein and carbohydrates.
Un Cafe
Limiting the amount of caffeine I consume has been a game-changer! I still drink it first thing when I wake up, but I won’t have another cup unless I’m getting coffee with friends or need an afternoon pick-me-up. My afternoon treat has been a decaf tea, I’m obsessed with peppermint!
Low Impact Exercise
Pilates is a must when you need an all-in-one exercise! It lowers my cortisol, and makes me feel rejuvenated! Plus, the second I get off the equipment, I can feel my muscles toning. I sprinkle a lot of walking, yoga, ballet classes, and gym into my routine! My success is slow and controlled movements for more sustained energy all day long!
